Mid Week Birthday Treat

This week, we had a special mid week visit from Gigi and Pagger Don. They were coming back from a business trip and stopped by to see Connor and to celebrate Jeff's birthday. It was a quick trip, but we still had fun.

We had a nice dinner Tuesday, which was finished off by Jeff's favorite chocolate cream pie and some birthday gifts. Then on Wednesday, we all got up and hung out with Connor and took a nice walk around the neighborhood. It was actually a pretty hot day, even at 8:30 in the morning. We think Spring has finally sprung.

Unfortunately, Gigi and Pagger Don had to leave around noon, but they got one last smile from Connor, so hopefully they think the short trip was worth it. We were glad to have them.

On Wednesday, Jeff's actual birthday, me and Connor met Jeff for dinner at his favorite pizza place, Grimaldi's. As the pictures show, Connor really wanted a slice for himself. We let him have some cheese and crust, but we'll save the slices of pizza for when he's a bit older.

Although 29 is not usually a very momentous birthday, I'm hoping Jeff enjoyed the 2 day celebration in his honor. He deserves it, that's for sure.

Ah, now he's starting to warm up. It was such a nice evening, so we laid a mat out and had him play outside while we had some hors d'oeuvres and chatted.

Pagger Don sat with him for a while and kept him entertained.

So did Gigi.

"I like when Gigi and Pagger Don come to visit, even if it takes me an hour to smile at them."
