We had a great time at the wedding and Grandma and Grandpa did a great job babysitting. It's become a joke, but I literally have a 12 page document prepared for babysitters with information on taking care of Connor. All joking aside though, my Mom did say she appreciated it and she referred to it all evening. I guess it worked because he was asleep when we got home and didn't make a peep until 7am the next morning.
Sunday morning we all got up and then Grandma, Grandpa, me and Connor took a nice walk around the neighborhood. Then we came home and it was about time for breakfast for Connor and naptime. During the nap, we showered and the gang enjoyed coffee. I'm still not drinking coffee sadly, because I do think it has an effect on Connor's napping. Ugh. I wish I could most days.
After Connor got up, we enjoyed a really nice and relaxing lunch at our new favorite spot, Live Oak Grill. We all enjoyed burgers and Connor got to try his first bites of beef and some hamburger roll. Yummy. He did great and we just had a really nice time.
After lunch, Grandma and Grandpa headed back to College Station and we headed back to our house. It turned out to be a nice day, so after Connor got up from his second nap, we sat outside and played. We're getting another cold front tonight (hello, this is Houston, stop already), so I guess we needed to enjoy it while we could.
Thanks for babysitting Grandma and Grandpa! Come back anytime.
Jeff and I at Simon and Amanda's wedding. Congrats to the happy couple. It was a nice night out for us, that's for sure.
Before lunch, we put out my Irish door hanging. St. Patrick's Day is just a month away and this Irish lassy is getting ready.
Daddy was all set in his green shirt and Connor had his wild green stripped pants on. Are they sweet little Irishmen or what?
Playing in the backyard on a nice day.
We sat at that exact table right after you guys :).
