Taking Care of Those Teeth

As you may know, Connor already has 4 teeth. Everything I read says it's best to start their oral hygiene care as soon as you can, so they get used to a tooth brush and the routine of brushing their teeth before bed. You just use water at first, so no baby toothpaste or anything, but it still helps wipe any food particles off their teeth so they don't build up decay.

We had been meaning to start, but what kicked us in gear was the fact that Jeff had a dentist appointment this week (his teeth look great) and they gave us a baby toothbrush for Connor. So on Tuesday night, we decided to start brushing his 4 adorable teeth with this cute little toothbrush.

Since Connor loves to chew, he of course loved the tooth brushing experience and the hardest part was taking the tooth brush away at the end. We documented the first tooth brushing episode below.

Here I am actually doing some brushing.

As you can see, Connor just wants to hold it himself and chew.

"Hmm, I'm not so sure about this, but it feels kind of cool, so I'll play along."

Here, he's brushing his teeth on his own like a big boy. So grown up with 4 teeth.

Showing off his pearly whites.
