On Saturday, Jeff and I had a few successful outings. We went to lunch with Connor and he did very well. He slept for the first 20 minutes and then when he woke up, Jeff let him sit in his lap while I finished up my food and then we left. It was nice to get out with him.
Then, even though we knew we might be pushing it, we went to Home Depot. Again, with a little help from my constantly pushing his stroller, he did just fine. Then late afternoon, we all went to the grocery store together. Connor slept the entire time. Thank goodness.
Sunday seemed to fly by as well. Jeff was very handy and changed out all of our sprinkler heads in the morning, while I hung out with Connor and then in the afternoon, I got to go to a birthday party for a friend of mine, so Jeff watched Connor. By the time I got home, it was time for Connor's last feeding of the day and time to start his getting ready for bed process. Sometimes I just don't know where the time goes.
Connor had ups and downs all weekend. He'd have fussy periods and then happy periods that made you forget about the fussy periods. It's amazing how that works. A few infant smiles and everything seems right with the world. I was pretty tired all day today though, because he didn't sleep that well Saturday night. He was up every couple of hours after 1AM, which is not typical. I guess I'm learning though, that nothing is typical. No day is the same as the last and Connor certainly has a mind of his own.
Friday evening, Jeff was pooped as was Connor. Maizey joined in as well. My sweet little family.
Thanks Daddy for helping to get Connor to smile. He still gets very serious when I lift up the camera in front of his face.
I took Connor outside to watch Daddy fixing the sprinklers so I put a hat on him. He looks a little effeminate, but still very cute.
I love the chipmunk cheeks picture...too cute!!!
