We were happy to have Gigi and Pagger Don come to Sugar Land for Thanksgiving. We were lucky to have great weather and some delicious food.
Gigi and Pagger Don arrived Wednesday and we began some meal preps then so Thursday wasn't really too bad as far as cooking. We also made it pretty low key with just one meat and some basic sides. We had lamb two ways (one on the grill and one in the oven), broccoli rice casserole, dressing (stuffing), rolls, cranberry salad, and pumpkin pie for dessert. It was so good and just right.
We were lucky to have great weather, so we could play outside with Connor and enjoy our time. Pagger Don and Gigi were also in town to watch the kiddos for 4 days while me, Jeff, my sister Erin and her husband Arthur went to Napa. It was a great trip and we took such comfort knowing the kids were in good hands.
Poor Gigi had it rough though, because Avery caught her first bad cold/flu and was up many times in the night. By Sunday (we got home Monday), Gigi had to take Avery to the doctor to get some medicine, because her cough had gotten really bad and her throat was sore. Poor baby. I felt terrible that she got sick while we were away, but Gigi said she got lots of snuggle time which is good.

| Connor drawing and Avery in her excersaucer while we are preparing the Thanksgiving meal. |
| I was trying to get a picture of Avery's bib that said "Grandma's Little Gobbler" but she wouldn't stop moving. Man she's active these days. |
| Playing football in the backyard. What's new? |
| I'm so happy to get some moments to snuggle my active 3 year old boy. I am also happy to have a chance to wear my "cool" Thanksgiving shirt. Notice those really "hip" pumpkin designs. I'm so cool. |
| We ate around 2pm and even Connor enjoyed himself this year. |
| Avery had pumpkin baby food for her First Thanksgiving. Maybe you can have some more stuff next year little girl. |
| I think I like this holiday. It's all about eating. I can get on board with that. |
| Carving the bird...I mean the lamb. |
| Scooping the broccoli rice. |
| Post meal power nap. |
| Eating Thanksgiving leftovers and showing off Avery sitting in her big girl high chair for the first time. |
