Avery's Baptism

On November 11, 2012, Avery Susan Treadway was baptized at Christ United Methodist Church in Sugar Land. It was the same place Connor was baptized, but now we have a new minister. As you can imagine, Avery did great and didn't hardly even flinch when the minister put the water on her head. I think she was too focused on trying to grab the baptismal font to notice.

When the baptism was over, the minister, Mike Mayhugh, walked Avery around the congregation and the choir even gave her a standing ovation. That doesn't normally happen. I guess she's pretty darn cute. Hee hee.

After the baptism, we went to lunch with Grandma and Grandpa who had come in town to see the baptism and of course be our photographers. It was a beautiful day so we walked around Sugar Land town center and then headed home for the kid's naps.

Overall, it was a great day and now Avery is truly blessed.

Avery, looking sweet in all white, is ready to be baptized.
Sitting in church ready to go.
Agreeing to raise Avery in the church.
Avery didn't seem bothered by the water at all. I think she was too focused on getting the baptismal font.
Proud Mom, Dad, and brother watching the minister show Avery to the congregation.
Avery leaving the choir after they clapped for her.
It was sort of a windy day, but we tried to get a family picture.
Proud Grandma and Grandpa with Connor at lunch afterwards.
We did some window shopping after lunch in Sugar Land town center and Grandpa thought Avery would just love this leopard clutch. It was so funny seeing him try to dress her up like a doll.
After we got home, I took a little photo shoot of Avery for our Christmas card. As you can see below, it was a very successful photo shoot. I shared a bunch here but I took probably 15 more really cute ones. What a sweetie.
I am one cute baby model. :)
