Well, it's official, Connor is losing his hair. I can't be sure if he'll lose all of it, or if he'll just rock the old man/monk look where it's bald on top with hair on the side, but either way, he's losing hair.
It's sooo thin on the top and especially on the left side, which is the side he prefers to sleep on. You can see the little hairs on his crib sheet and it comes out when we give him baths and really any time of day. I noticed today, when I changed his outfit that some came out when I put the new shirt over his head.
This is probably the most sad I have ever been about a change Connor has made as he's grown older. His hair was such a signature part of his look and I'm having trouble picturing my sweet baby boy as a cue ball. We shall see. It may grow back in quickly, but I have my doubts. Check out the photo progression below. It's pretty clear in the pictures, but in person it's even more obvious. Oh sweet boy. Please don't lose all of your hair.

1 Day Old. Lots of dark hair.

3 weeks old. Look at how thick and dark his hair is.

4 weeks. Still very dark and thick.

5 weeks. Starting to stand up more. Still thick and dark.

7 weeks. He's got a nice hair style going.

2 months. Definitely stands straight up and is full, but a little less dark.

11 weeks. In the sun, you can see that his hair is getting lighter. It sometimes even looks reddish.

12 weeks. What a beautiful head of hair.

13 weeks. Nice mohawk, but you can see he's developing a bit of a reseeding hairline in the front.

13 weeks. With his head down you can see it getting thinner in the front.

3 months. He's got a very distinct bald spot in the back and a lot more thin spots.

3 months. As you can see, it's thin in the front and on the sides.

14 weeks. Check out that thinness in the front. Plus his right side is really thin.

15 weeks. With his head looking down you can see the patchyness of his hair.

This was taken yesterday. As you can see, the front area is totally thin.

Today. Very thin on the top and sides.

Today. This is his left side. As you can see it's almost all gone.

Today. His left side and his big bald spot in the back.

Today. Apparently, he's not too upset about the hair loss.

Today. "Bald is beautiful Momma."
Bald really is beautiful :) He is a cute cute baby!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweetie - hair or no hair! It will grow back, mom!
ReplyDeleteOnly a baby can totally rock it and still look gorgeous! It's the perfect season to start over for hair, he can rock his cute baby hoodies and little stretchy football logo hats. Just makes kissing his head more enjoyable when they're baldies:)
