Kansas City Wedding

OK, so first I should apologize for the long blog hiatus. We traveled to Kansas and New York for 2 weeks and when I got home (two weeks ago), I just never found the time to blog. In an effort to get the ball rolling, I am going to bust out two blogs at once, but I'll probably save any updates on our sweet little Connor for another time. For now, I will just post some pics and let the captioning do the rest.

For the record though, he is doing great and has taken up singing, which is freaking adorable as you can imagine. He starts back at Mother's Day Out church school this coming Tuesday, so that's exciting too (for both of us). Also, it is insanely hot out (temps in the 100's), making any attempts at outdoor activitiy miserable. Every Texan will be ready for this oppressive heat to end.

So back to the blog at hand. On our way out to New York, we stopped over in Kansas City for the weekend to attend Jeff's cousin Kory's wedding. We had a great time enjoy the pics.

We had some time Saturday morning before the wedding, so we ventured off to see "Outdoor World."

There were lots of taxidermied animals and some live fish. Here we are looking at all the fish.

Connor shows no fear touching this big, brown bear.

We also stopped by the groom's parent's house (Jeff's Aunt and Uncle) and as we were leaving, Connor got to shoot a few hoops.

Connor got to attend the wedding (we had a babysitter for the reception), so we dressed him up in his Sunday finest. Doesn't he look dapper with Pagger Don?

Walking into the church for pictures.

We had to take a family picture, but luckily the church nursery was open, so we played in there until it was our turn. Man, what a relief.

Here Connor is perusing the wedding program before the wedding ceremony begins.

After the ceremony, we all blew bubbles at the bride and groom as they left for the reception. Here, Connor and Gigi are having fun with the bubbles. Connor still doesn't quite have the "blowing bubbles with a wand" thing mastered, but he likes to chew on the wand. Does that count?

The wedding reception was great. It was held at a country club and we all had fun drinking, eating, and dancing. Connor apparently was a little cherub for his babysitter. What great news.
