Got Rice?

Friday night, Connor had his first experience with rice cereal. I would say his reaction was to be expected.

At first, he just kind of spit it back out and made a face and kind of made a shivering type action. You can see his early reactions in the video. It was pretty funny. It didn't seem like much was actually getting in his mouth or being swallowed. Towards the end though, he seemed to eat more of it. Either way, it made for a huge mess, but lots of laughs as well.

We tried again Saturday and we'll do it again tonight, so we'll see if there is any improvement. He certainly wasn't loving it, but he didn't seem to hate it either. Maybe we'll get more of a reaction once we start fruits and veggies. That should be interesting.

Besides the new rice cereal adventure, Jeff, Connor, and I had a great weekend. Saturday was filled with College Football nearly all day. Jeff had been feeling like he hadn't seen a lot of football this season (hmm, I wonder why) so we tried to watch as much as we could. Of course we played with Connor and he had some fun in his jumperoo outside, but it was mostly a fun football day. Sadly, our teams lost...again, but we still enjoyed watching them on T.V. I can't believe the season is over for Michigan next weekend. Where has the time gone?

It's still warm out (in the 80's), but I believe a cold front is coming in tonight, which should be a nice change of pace. While it's still warm though, Connor and I have spent some time outside and Jeff went over to the country club and played some golf. All in all, it was another nice weekend in Sugar Land. We're enjoying the slow pace before the holidays start rolling in. They'll be here before you know it.
